Freeport, Grand Bahama Island – June 8, 2011. Bradford Grand Bahama, Ltd. (Bradford Marine Bahamas), is pleased to announce that they are now manufacturing containment booms at their shipyard in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. These floating containment booms can be used for containing oil and other pollutants on the surface of the water. The standard 22” containment boom offers high buoyancy flotation above the surface with universal slides and quick disconnect pins that allow easy movement for boat traffic and to add additional lengths. Their UV resistant vinyl coated polyester fabric extends below the surface and thus becomes very effective in the containment of oil spills as well as every day use for construction projects and industrial sites to control releases of silt, debris, and other pollutants into waterways.

Along with the standard design available in 75ft and 100 ft lengths, custom heights and lengths are available and can be built to suit the particular location and customer requirements throughout the Bahamas.
